Welcome to the W. D. Tournaments web page. We are starting our 26th year of running the most competitive scratch tournaments in the Chicagoland area. Despite the decline of scratch bowling throughout the country over the last few years, we will continue to promote the sport as it should be. Most of the big scratch tournaments throughout the country have gone to average or specific divisions to maintain their entry counts and some have even promoted handicap divisions in the hope of attracting more bowlers. The Boot Hill Tournaments continue to promote legitimate scratch events geared to the true scratch bowler who wants to compete on fair and challenging conditions. The Grand Boot Hill will once again offer competitive scratch bowlers the opportunity to bowl for over $50,000 in guaranteed prize money. Last year we paid out over $100,000.

Our regular Boot Hill tournaments this year will alternate between Fox Bowl in Wheaton, IL and Stardust Bowl in Addison, IL. All of our tournaments will be conducted on demanding but consistently challenging lane conditions. If you are looking to average 220 in tournament play, you may want to look elsewhere. If you want fair cashing ratios and are looking to improve your game, our tournaments are meant for you.

Our tournaments are open to all bowlers except PBA members who were exempt during the '11-12 season and bowlers who have won a national title after 1991. Senior titles are excluded from these rules.

The 25th Annual Grand Boot Hill tournament will be held June 8-10, 2012 at Stardust Bowl, 37 Lorraine Avenue, Addison, IL. We are returning to Stardust this year because there is more space available enabling us to lower our entry fees. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T ALREADY KNOW, STARDUST BOWL HAS INSTALLED 84 BRAND NEW SYNTHETIC LANES. If you are a competitive scratch bowler, Stardust Bowl will be the place to be on the second weekend in June. The full details for this event will be made available after the first of the year.
